Welcome to Chidwick School of Fine Woodworking

We invite you to experience a woodworkers vacation in the Bitterroot Valley of Western Montana. Come experience the rugged beauty of the great Rocky Mountains while you expand your woodworking knowledge in a week or two-week long hands-on woodworking class.

Small class sizes, home-cooked lunches, beautiful scenery and friendly people will help ensure you’ll have a remarkable experience. If your soul is longing for fresh air, breathtaking vistas, rivers and deep blue sky and you desire to challenge yourself by advancing your woodworking skills to a new level, then come to Montana and join us this year at Chidwick School of Fine Woodworking.

“Scultpural woodworking is the marriage of high-level precision joinery techniques with wide-open horizons of design and style. The sky’s the limit – and we live in Big Sky Country. Perfect.”
~ Andy Chidwick

Woodworking Vacations

The Bitterroot Valley, nestled between the Bitterroot and the Sapphire ranges of the Rocky Mountains just south of Missoula, is our own quiet little slice of heaven. The rugged beauty of the great outdoors is the main attraction here, and a good day is measured in how many miles you hiked, how many different species of animals you spotted, or how many hours your fishing line was in the river. If your soul is longing for fresh air, breath-taking vistas, pristine rivers and deep blue sky, then come; the Bitterroot Valley will fill your senses to the brim.
