| About the Chidwick School of Fine Woodworking |
|
At CSFW, you will find a warm and friendly environment where both education and camaraderie will allow each student to work at their own pace without any undue pressure. Through the duration of the class, Andy will spend ample time with each student providing both practical knowledge as well as confidence-building techniques to improve your woodworking abilities. While here, you will learn many of Andy's techniques for sculptural woodworkings such as: freeform routing, power grinding, convex shaping, concave shaping, profiling, throwing a line, sandshaping, cold lamination, precision joinery, and more. All of this takes place in a fully equipped 2,500 square foot woodworking facility in a beautiful setting of ponderosa pine tress, the tranquil Bitterroot River, and the majestic Rocky Mountains. Longer classes also allow for an optional Saturday fly fishing excursion. |
"…I've taken a number of classes from notable craftsmen/instructors, and can say that my most rewarding experiences have been my two classes with Andy Chidwick. I’ve left his classes empowered with new skills to employ in other projects. People see the chairs I've made and are stunned... Thanks to Andy, I'm a ROCK STAR woodworker in my friends' eyes.” -Bruce |
