How do I get to Chidwick School of Fine Woodworking? CSFW is located in Western Montana, just south of Missoula. The closest airport is Missoula, although the prices are often significantly lower to fly in and out of Spokane, three and a half hours to the west. Renting a car in Spokane is easy and reasonably priced, and the drive through the mountain passes is spectacularly beautiful. Driving to CSFW is also a good option, as it enables the student to have a way to transport their furniture back home without having to ship it. Missoula is right on I-90, the main East/West thoroughfare in this part of the country, and Hwy 93 runs straight down the Bitterroot Valley, with access to East Side Hwy, where the school is located. "…I've taken a number of classes from notable craftsmen/instructors, and can say that my most rewarding experiences have been my two classes with Andy Chidwick. I’ve left his classes empowered with new skills to employ in other projects. People see the chairs I've made and are stunned... Thanks to Andy, I'm a ROCK STAR woodworker in my friends' eyes.” -Bruce |
